More Ways to Give

  • Community of Caring Luncheon

The JFS Community of Caring luncheon brings together over 1,000 people who support the work of JFS. This exciting event grows bigger and better every year! The 2024 Community of Caring luncheon was the most significant fundraising event in the Greater Seattle Jewish community, thanks to our incredible community of supporters, with total contributions in excess of $2,000,000. These funds allow JFS to provide compassionate, skilled, culturally competent programs and services that support the well-being, health, and stability of Jewish individuals and families, refugees and immigrants, and our broader community.

Become a JFS Community of Caring sponsor! Are you interested in helping to cover the costs of our Community of Caring fundraising event? By becoming a sponsor, you help ensure donations received will fully support individuals and families in our community who access our programs and services including: survivors of domestic violence, newly arrived refugees and immigrants fleeing conflict and persecution, Holocaust survivors, adults living with cognitive disabilities, neighbors in need of food and housing, and more.

Sponsorship benefits include recognition during the event, social media recognition and in JFS print and digital communications throughout the year. Specific benefits are available upon request.

For more information contact: Silver Lace Greitz, Director of Special Events at sgreitz@jfsseattle.org or (206) 861-3151.

  • Household Donations & Wish Lists

Thank you for your interest in donating household goods to support the individuals and families we serve at JFS! The health and dignity of our clients is extremely important to us, so we are only able to accept specific items.

  • Tributes

There’s no better way to honor the ones you love and respect than with a tribute for weddings, anniversaries, b’nai mitzvahs, birthdays or remembrances. With your minimum tribute of $10, we will send a card acknowledging your thoughtfulness and your gift will support the work of JFS. Contact the Donor Relations Coordinator at donate@jfsseattle.org or (206) 461-3240 for assistance or to setup a tribute bank. You can make your tribute online now.

  • Lamplighter Society

The Lamplighter Society recognizes the inspiring example of individuals and families who have contributed to JFS in one or more of the following ways:

    • Given $1 million or more in their lifetime.
    • Made a Named Fund Endowment gift.
    • Given $100,000 in one or both of the two most recent fiscal years.
  • Matching Gifts

Please consider naming JFS as a beneficiary if your workplace offers a match for cash donations, volunteer hours or both.

  • Stocks

For information about donating stocks or other securities, contact Lisa Schultz Golden at lgolden@jfsseattle.org or (206) 861-3188. Please note that the value of your stock gift is calculated by taking the average price of the stock the day it enters a Jewish Family Service account.

  • Food Basket Centerpieces

Flowers are lovely, but they wilt in a few days. Why not rent our beautiful Food Basket Centerpieces for your next special occasion instead? Elegantly adorned baskets filled with kosher food or faux fruit come in two sizes. Our volunteers assemble and decorate the baskets according to your color choice, then you pick them up for your event. The price directly benefits the JFS Polack Food Bank, providing healthy food, with dignity and respect, to individuals and families throughout the Puget Sound region. And your contribution is tax deductible.

You get total convenience and a gorgeous product while helping others in need. Your support helps create positive change in someone’s life – and that lasts a great deal longer than flowers! Table baskets are $54 apiece and pulpit (bema) display baskets are $108 each. To order, contact volunteer@jfsseattle.org or place your food basket online.

  • Food Bank-365 Tribute

When you make a tribute donation of $365 or more, you can honor the ones you love and help feed those who rely on the Polack Food Back every month. Your honoree will receive a tribute card, and both you and your honoree will receive a special day of recognition at the Polack Food Bank. Contact the Donor Relations Coordinator at donate@jfsseattle.org or (206) 461-3240 for assistance. Or, make your tribute online now.

  • Vehicles

JFS gladly accepts donations of automobiles. Proceeds from the sale of your vehicle support our vital program. Visit the CARS donation page to get started. Or, contact the Donor Relations Coordinator at donate@jfsseattle.org or (206) 461-3240 for more information.
